Winners of the LSJDA 2008

This year three designers were awarded with Germanys most popular award for young designers – the Lucky Strike Junior Designer Award. Roland Cernat, graduate in product design at the Hochschule für Gestaltung Schwäbisch Gmünd and the brothers Thomas and Martin Poschauko graduates at the Fachhochschule Würzburg-Schweinfurt received the award which is endowed with prize money of 12,000 Euros. Since 1992 the Raymond Loewy Foundation honors outstanding diploma thesis of design students. “In this year we had to choose amongst 250 thesis”, says Prof. Johann Tomforde, chairman of the Jury of the Raymond Loewy Foundation. “We were amazed by the number as well as the quality of transmittals. The thesis document the high standard of the academic education at German universities.”
